Creativity and Expression Workshop

The aim of the creativity and expression workshop which is part of the kindergarten is to lead the child to graphically represent their emotional, tactile and visual sensations; to reproduce the world in which they live through manipulation and drawing; to develop imagination and creativity, also through dramatization.

The training course proposed by the kindergarten includes the ability to recognize the tools and their characteristics; the progressive mastery of the techniques; the identification of multiple materials; the development of the chromatic and aesthetic sense; the analysis of perceptual aspects (visual, auditory, tactile) and their representative processing; the use of various graphic - plastic - manipulative - constructive languages to represent reality according to the cognitive, narrative, descriptive and affective aspects.

Depending on the age and the various skills related to it, the laboratory, through the realization of collective projects and the use of various techniques, aims at sensitizing thr child to color, shapes and teamwork. For the little ones, it means getting closer to colors, distinguishing themselves and becoming familiar with various techniques, from the use of brush to “collage”. For 4 - year - olds, on the other hand, it is a question of developing fine motor skills, working on movement (”Action Painting”) and stimulating attention by teaching instructions that become more precise. Finally, in the class of 5 - year - olds we work on the representation of ourselves, of others and of the human figure. An exploratory work linked to the Rome project is also carried out. The project of the graphic pictorial laboratory of the GIROGIROTONDO kindergarten gives the child a plastic training that prepares them to read and understand the surrounding images.
